The Master Hair Care Specialist program is a comprehensive, hands-on course designed to equip individuals 16 and older with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a professional barber or hair care specialist. This 12- to 18-month 1500 hr program covers a wide range of topics, including: - Cutting techniques - Coloring and styling - Natural hair care - Sanitation - Financial literacy The financial literacy component focuses on teaching students essential money management skills, including budgeting and informed financial decision-making, whether they plan to own their own business or rent a booth. Notably, barbers can earn an average hourly income ranging from $40 to $100. Upon completing the program, graduates will be well-prepared to take the state board examination and launch their careers in the barber industry, equipped with the financial knowledge to achieve stability and success.
